Heat vs Pacers

I haven't been watching a ton of basketball thus far but I'm definitely tuning in for possibly the best game of the new season.

Thoughts? Pregame predictions?

I think Lebron is going to show why he's on another level from the rest of the league. This should be a good one.

The heat's defense looks good. I'm surprised pg only has 2 points and no field goals. Hope to see more of the same in the second half. GO HEAT!!!

Hibbert and West exposing that interior Miami defense again.

I'm starting to think Roy Hibbert is actually the most valuable player on Indiana, not Paul George.

I don't know what he will end up doing the rest of the game, but he's been pretty sad so far for it being this big of a game lol

I think each of these guys on this squad are very much needed.

Roy Hibbert is vastly underrated though for what he does night in and night out on both ends of the court.

BOOM BABY!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, the Pacers play as a team, so every single of them play a big part.

Obviously PG gets all the love because he's exciting and has that swagger, but Roy Hibbert is the defensive anchor.

Jopeal 12-10-2013 09:36 PM

Good team performance by the Pacers. They have some aspects that remind me of the Spurs.

Can't tell if trolling

Heat fans are acting like this game meant nothing and are sharing Instagram photos their players took with Justin Timberlake :D

The Big Three played more minutes than expected (Lebron & Bosh played 4 more minutes tonight than their season average, Wade 2), and the Heat still don't have any answer to contain Roy Hibbert.

Glad PG bounced back in the second half, and love the modesty of my fav' player

GO PACERS !

Trolling? Heat are the Champs is a FACT

Rabie1 12-11-2013 06:41 AM

Glad the Pacers won, but its just one game. In 10 years no one is going to remember games like this. its all about the playoffs.

bradjames12 12-11-2013 08:14 AM

Other than the crap first quarter and 21 turnovers for the game, that was a pretty good game by the Pacers. Held the Heat 20 points below their season average.

While these early regular season games don't matter much right now, this game could determine who gets home court advantage in the East.

Hate to break it to you but the regular season means nothing to the heat. As long as they get one of the top three seeds (and that doesn't even really matter
Much). Playoff are all that matter to this heat team. Last years streak almost cost them the championship and they know that.

Good for the pacers being really good in the regular season so far.

Jef 12-11-2013 08:21 AM

this game meant absolutely nothing other than the fact that a "final 4" of Heat/Pacers/Thunder/Warriors would be insane.

I'll give you that the game is just a regular season game, but if it means nothing to Miami, then why did LeBron, Bosh, and Wade play big minutes? Why were the Heat so aggressive in doubling Paul George? Why were the starters playing at the end of the game?

The answer: They wanted to beat Indiana on their home court.

They didn't win, so don't start with the "It didn't matter..." crap. Just take the L and move on. Miami isn't going to come out and say that, so their fan base should stop saying it.

In my opinion Trailblazers instead of Warriors in that final 4.
After watching the Blazers/Pacers game from last week. A 7 game series between those two teams would be

And this game will play a role in determining home court. Heat/Pacers only play 4 times, so to say this game meant nothing is

Jef 12-11-2013 08:38 AM

the home court team is more than nothing, i agree, but i think it mostly matters to indiana.

i dont think miami is scared of going on the road at any point in the playoffs, whereas the pacers - in my opinion - will need homecourt to beat miami.
