Member Feedback through iTrader
 

Hi,

With so many members on our board now, we've added the iTrader option to make it easier to see a member's past trading/buying history. Use this along with a user's eBay feedback (if their username is posted) to help determine if the transaction will be safe.

Each member's Feedback will be posted in their avatar and you can click on that link to see their detailed feedback.

Also, in the main navigation bar, I've added a link to "My iTrader" that will show your own feedback and rating.

Awesome idea.

But I encountered a couple problems.
1. The additional comments text box is too skinny, will only allow you to type 2 characters per line.
2. When I tried to submit my trade, I got an error that said my response was too short, I need to use at least 10 characters. This might be because I didn't use the additional comments box, not sure what the error was pertaining to.

Yep, working on trying to get that fixed soon...works ok in firefox right now (not 100%), but in IE it only displays 2 characters wide. and yes, the error is because you need at least 10 characters in the additional comments area.

ok...sorry guys, but had to reinstall itrader to see if it would fix the issues. and it reset all the feedback to 0, so you'll have to redo the feedback you left yesterday.

pat i tried to leave someone feedback at 1:30 pm today after you reinstalled the itrader. I am still getting the error message about having less than 2 characters in the additional comments box

The additional comments is now optional.

Pat just wondering why my Feedback Score is 5 and my Positive Feedback score is 7. Shouldn't the numbers be the same?

haha...just like Ebay was....multiple feedbacks from the same person don't count :)

ok, edited so that multiple feedbacks from the same person will count.
we only have so many unique users, so i think this will more accurately reflect someone's itrader rating.

Okay. I just saw that the "link to the deal thread" is optional when you leave Feedback. A area where the trades are posted would be pretty cool though.

Yeah, its been discussed. Its not gonna happen. You can post the link to the thread you guys made the deal happen in, in that spot. Welcome to the forums

Maybe I've missed it somewhere on the site, but is there a way to transfer feedback from other sites/ebay? The only site I still have login info for is Hobby Kings and I've got 40+ positive trader ratings there, plus nearly 750 positives on ebay. Is there any way to get any of that feedback posted here?

Roger that! Thanks for the quick response.

As a seller, when is the appropriate time to leave a feedback? After receiving the payment or after confirming that both parties received their ends? If i leave a feedback right after the payment and the buyer returns it for unethical reasons, then I won't have a way to change it.

Why can't I leave any more feedback today? It looks like it was capped at maybe 5 reviews?
