FSU and TPD Strike Again!
As long as there's no video evidence and you're a star player at FSU, you can harass and beat on women: No easy answers in FSU RB Dalvin Cook's trial - College Football - SI.com
Dalvin Cook is going to be playing this fall with absolutely no reprecussions...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: |
He should be allowed to play. Too many questions around the case for any actions to be taken.

Sure. Because TPD has not and will not properly investigate a case involving a FSU athlete. Any he said she said case invariably falls in favor of the athlete. It's a joke. A sad pathetic joke. |

The witnesses were terrible. Had nothing to to with the TPD imo |
How was he able to get a jury trial so quickly?
|
So if a someone accosts and provokes you at the bar you should be found guilty just because you were at the wrong place at the wrong time?
|
4 days late here chief. This guys loves getting off on Florida State. Did you follow the trial earlier this week? Why are you posting this on a football card message board? Get a life.

Dalvin Cook is going to be playing this fall with absolutely no reprecussions...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Easy to say if you're not in Cook's shoes. Easier to say if you have a disdain for FSU and its players. Look, some of the hate toward FSU is understandable, due to its history/recent history, but do you realize that it is possible that Cook didn't do this? Were you there? Do you know any of the witnesses? Do you believe everything you see or read about FSU? Further, I have learned that it's not expedient for me to defend a grown man (college student or not) to a tee, due to the fact that he's a man and should defend his own reputation and freedom. I just want evidence; the evidence presented was inadequate. If there is evidence that a player is guilty, I want the price to be paid for the crime, with the exception of the most minor things. If there is no evidence, I can just assume what was said is a lie. |

Someone has a case of the grumps... Tally has one of the worst PD I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. I would rather deal with police in Tijuana. |
How was he able to get a jury trial so quickly?
No idea. Probably a TPD/judicial pull to make sure the plaintiff couldn't uncover any other witnesses. Hell, the TPD Officer acknowledged that the woman had a cut lip, but claimed it couldn't be a punch. OK. How the hell did her lip get cut??? Either way, it's clear that at best Cook and the rest of his teammates are liars based upon the ridiculous lack of congruency in their stories. Nevermind the fact that there will be no punishment for them being served underage. What? They couldn't get them for disturbing the peace? There's a litany of laws these kids broke, but TPD is content letting them walk. |

Well, they started it by calling her a Ho, right?
4 days late here chief. This guys loves getting off on Florida State. Did you follow the trial earlier this week? I'm posting it because it's clear that there is a violence against women problem with athletes and no one seems to care.
Easy to say if you're not in Cook's shoes. It's pathetic how people defend these idiots... |

Where is your post on the Baylor player? Did I miss that?

It's called the Constitution of United States of America. |
Someone has a case of the grumps...
Tally has one of the worst PD I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. I would rather deal with police in Tijuana.
It's ironic. According to the article, one of the guys before Cook in court were busted for shoplifting a bottle of cologne and another for environmental regulations associated with old tires. Beating women as a member of FSU's football program, can't be bothered to be properly investigated... |

That's the only explanation? Please. You need to wake up and live in the real world. Is it not possible she hit herself or bumped into something while intoxicated or maybe he told her drunk friend to hit her so it looked like she was hit by Cook. Not saying that's what happened, but don't act like the only way her lip could have gotten split was by being punch by a 215 pound football player. It he hit her multiple times in the face or even once, she would have been effed up. |

Nope. But her dancing with another guy doesn't give him the right to call her a Ho. Nor does her "putting her hands on him" give him the right to respond with force either. A bunch of guys trying to act "alpha" just being a bunch of punks....
Where is your post on the Baylor player? Did I miss that?
See below... What do you mean by properly investigated? Please expound. What would you have done differently if the lead detective or investigator on this case. It's a he said/she said with no video evidence. The SA thought enough of it to charge him. He used his Constitutional right to request a speedy trial and a jury of six (including 2 women) found him not guilty in under 30 minutes. What more do you want done? |

You need to take your fanboy shades off. Your program is scummy as they get. Well, the "Baptist" Baylor University is giving them a run for the money... First they try cover up a murder and now they ignore rape. Although, at least Waco actually made the right call...unlike Tally... |
Just look at who the OP was for the thread and just laugh. Nothing to see here, move along

Maybe change of venue? It's pretty clear that the players stories didn't match up, but the girls' story that did match up isn't good testimony? Right... Keep defending abuse of women. You're a real winner as long as you win trophies :)! |

You mean the witness that was so drunk she couldn't write her statement? Yes extremely credible. And because I want to debate a topic, that makes me a defender of the abuse of women. What is your education level? 5th grade level? If it was proven that he hit her he should be kicked off the team, but because someone says it doesn't make it so. |

This coming from the guy with the head coach of the Patriots as his avatar. A model organization if there ever was one. No fanboy shades here. Just truth shades. You are blinded by your hatred. |
