Madden 16 xbox1 question for online users
 

Just got my fourth straight network timed out loss. Wi fi signal is 4 bars, system shows 4 bars, yet the constant game kick outs. Issue with server?

It happened over and over and over for me with my PS3 and PS4. How I fixed it was I hard wired my router into my PS4. Ever since I haven't had a single issue.

Rule number 1 for online gaming: don't play over WiFi

It is especially bad if you are in a heavily congested area with lots of signals.

If you can make wired work, it is the only way to go.

There are too many variables that go into maintaining a wireless signal (type of wireless connection, congestion, quality of router, etc) that it isn't good for something that needs a precise connection like gaming.

For web browsing and watching Netflix (or other services that can buffer content), you wouldn't have a problem.

My record is 21 and 17, with 8 loses due to the ea servers pooping. I need a hard wire.

Thats exactly how it was for me when I didn't have it hardwired. I lost many of many games that I was up 14+ in because of it timing out.

Ethernet is the way to go. It's still not a 100% connection rate because the ea servers are horrible.

never used a cable and rarely have server issues, maybe a bit laggy once in a while but I swear its only on ea servers

The servers are bad too though. I have wired. I am 48-10 with 6 disconnects being when I was winning. It has a lot of bad timeouts. Sadly it's happened in 3/4 of my Mut SB games :/

Edit: That said, I would do wired if possible.
