Philbin to be FIRED!

Adam Schefter
44 mins ·
As of last night, the Dolphins were preparing to fire head coach Joe Philbin, per league sources. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross always could change his mind, but the organization was preparing to make a move as soon as today, per sources. Should Ross follow through with his plan, Dolphins tight ends coach Dan Campbell would be the leading candidate to become the interim head coach and replace Philbin.

And DC Kevin Coyle should also be going!

Its official - Shefty just tweeted it. Philbin has been fired.

So we can accurately predict that Philbin will be the OC of the Colts next year and Hue Jackson will be the new Dolphins head coach next year, as well?

Hip hip hooray! This team needs a new identity (they currently don't have one).

Remember when the Dolphins fans were babbling about the Patriots having a tough time with them??? L. O. L.

Ndamukong Suh = coach killer.

Tom Brady was done, RyTan was the new kid in the East, and the Dolphins have a SB contending roster. Some here even defended Philbin as a good coach as recent as 4 weeks ago. LOL

I could see their season turning out in a positive way. Let Ryan call the shots out there, he can do it and has the skills to be able to call audible and change things around.

I was that guy who drafted Miami's defense in the 4th round.

Can't tell if this is sarcasm. I hope it is.

While watch the Packers game with friends yesterday, I said that he would be.

It was an easy call to see that he lost that team.

THANK GOD!

First 2 rules of fantasy football:
NEVER draft a kicker prior to the last round
NEVER draft a DST prior to any other position besides kicker...

IronMonkey415 10-05-2015 11:36 AM

I guess I just believe in Ryan T.

He's been awful this year. No effort on his part at all from the look of things. It's like he got paid and is now content just to be a warm body.

So, Albert Haynesworth 2.0?

groundsupport 10-05-2015 11:41 AM

Jim Caldwell should be in the news as well. Well he will be there tomorrow.

Caldwell was an awful hire from day 1.

He rode Manning's coat tails as far as he could in Indy and seemed like Detroit just went with the anti-Schwartz hire (in terms of personality and coaching style).

Mike Golic has been defending him to the 9's on Mike and Mike the last two weeks. Saying he's been getting double teamed and someone else needs to be making plays.

Someone should tell JJ Watt that he cant make plays when he's being double teamed.

Suh is overpaid and they moved him out from his natural comfort zone. I agree other guys should be making plays, but when you're getting paid $100 mill, you need to find ways to make plays also. Suh had an easy shot at knocking the snot out of Chris Ivory on one play yesterday and Ivory bounced off of him like he was no big deal.

Suh has gotten people paid due to being doubled team. Cliff Avril, Deandre Levy, Nick Fairley.

Boy, I don't know that anyone could really compare to the disaster that was Big Al. I don't even know if he had a pulse when he was out there.

Soooooo, the Pats will trade a junk pick for him after Miami pays all the upfront/guaranteed money for him???

Looks similar to Jamarcus Russell in that once he got the big payday and guaranteed millions he was happy with just getting the paycheck and not earning it

Hey, at least he hasn't stopped kicking people in the head though. Then you'd know that he truly gave up.

tke1600 10-05-2015 01:04 PM

I'd like to personally thank Philbin for helping my fantasy team start out 0-4 by giving Lamar Miller about 5 touches per game and 0 touches in the redzone, while also having to bench Tannehill as my QB for sucking so much. So sad to see him go.
