Will Melo ever win a championship
Carmelo Anthony - If so with which team?
No...
Nope.
doubtful
He can win the ring when lebron lets him join.
No......
Not a chance
He missed his chance when he re-upped in NY instead of going to Miami like him LBJ and Wade planned.
Absolutely no way, unless he is coming off the bench as an old man for a contender.
Better question is whether Melo will win a championship as the best player on the team. Then no.
But if Porzingis eventually becomes a Top 5 player and the Knicks put good enough pieces around him, there is a chance it could happen at the end of his contract. |
Nope. This is the easiest question I've answered all day. He's like a drunk red neck. His glory days were when he was the big man on campus. Since then his deficits have grown and his skills have decreased.
only if he goes ring chasing at the end of his career

Melo traded his chances to a ring for a max contract.
can't have both. |

I was wondering this the other day. I would like to see it happen especially if he could do it in NYC. I think he can. Yes probably not as the top dawg but he can shoot the ball at an elite level. He is 31 and past his prime but he might still have 5,6 serviceable years left. If Zingis and Melo are enough to attract say Boogie Cousins or Lillard why not. Zingis and Melo can be very effective spacers now they just need an elite interior big man or a slashing guard.
The landscape of the NBA is going to change big time this offseason. I am not going to make any predictions for champs past this year (Cavs). |
How much will Melo card values crash if he never wins a championship?
Who's a good historical comparison if he doesn't? |
Never say never. I don't think it's likely at the moment, but he can be carried.

He is around 22,000 Career Points. Lets say he plays another 3-4 years and gets to 26,000. I think he compares to a title less Paul Pierce.

Karl Malone.[/QUOTE] What about Carter and McGrady? Malone is a notch above the others. |

Great comparisons. Not necessarily the way they play the game but his career path is similar. Not the athlete those 2 were, but a better rebounder and post game. To me it seems Melo has always been clutch at the end of games. Especially in college and in the Olympics. One of the best college freshman of all time. That title run he had was legendary |
If he gets traded to Spurs or Warriors and becomes a 6th man, Yes.
He would have to be the third or worse player on the team and learn to pass
Hell no
