A couple of 1986 beauties - Barkley # 'Nique
 

Picked up a couple of raw sets over the weekend (the MJs were graded). This was a ladies personal collection that probably had not been touched in 10 years or more.

Not even sure if the scans do justice to the cards.

Needless to say, they are already at PSA.

Fronts could be 10's......what do the backs look like???

I put minimum grade of 9 on the form, but I am crossing my fingers at least one pops.

Just as good as the fronts.

Probably centered high end 9s would be my guess but might get lucky

I nearly sent them to BGS but the reward is too great with PSA.

curious..what is the reason for putting a minimum grade on an ungraded card? Is it so you won't need to bust it open?

Much easier to re-examine the card if not in a case. If it doesn't meet minimum grade then that means I missed something and I want to know what it is.

Are you freaking kidding me? That is unreal. check out the edge issues on the right side of the card...I thought you were looking at an 8.5. PSA just baffles me sometimes. Congratulations on that amazing score!!

Lol, one... well maybe 3 since two didn't reach my minimum 9 grade. ;)

Can't wait to look them over to see what I missed. Drexler is disappointing, it was a little off center but I thought it was still good enough for a 9:

Really impressive for three raw sets. I mean, many of these cards can be pretty o/c and have print spots right out of the packs, so to hit 9's on the Wilkins, Ewing, and checklist and the PSA 10 on Barkley is fantastic.

Thanks! The checklist is a real "what may have been" card because it does have a print line on the back. Centering and everything else are super.

Still a lot more to go off to grading.

Not going to list everything, just highlights:

I sent in 5 OC cards (Nique, Ewing, Drexler, Malone, Magic) that I said to grade 9oc or to grade no min, no qualifier if they did not qualify for 9oc. Well they didn't listen and ended up not grading them at all. But answers the question that none were 9oc :(
