That's too bad but with the star wars prints there was also a weird wrinkle where they were making it and then they had to just reproduce the cards at the size of the print and the beauty of the art...

Yeah IMHO those are the two possibilities. The only thing I like about th 57-58 design is plenty of art reveal. But those trapezoids and the color scheme are not for me.

I mean it doesn't really matter if you shorten the height or widen the card, you're ruining the aspect ratio and the card will look like a different card design.
