Honestly the thickness of the single cards annoys me as well. But I accepted that the hobby changed in a way I just cannot appreciate like a decade ago. Saved me a lot of money over the years.

Still seems weird that a single download could be active on multiple switches at once. My wife and I use different profiles though. We just by cartridges and don't play the same game at the same time.

Good luck! they were released almost a decade ago. The initial receipt wasnt great because they are missing some key signers, but when sites started blowing them out they exploded.
