I would find the card and let the member know the price, he would then send me the money including my commission and I would buy the card for him. I would continue doing this for about a year to a year and half. The member always sent me money and would pay great money on these cards to finish his set. However sometimes commutation was a problem and I would have to wait a couple days for his reply.

Fast forward to 2014 and I purchased around 30 cards for him and I have lost commutation with him. I've called him at least once a week with no reply, sent him countless emails/texts and even sent mail to his house.

A lot of you would say why don't you ship out the cards to his house. The reason I have not and have been holding the cards is because he has spent over 10k on these cards and he would always tell me he is usually never home and is traveling. I've been waiting on him to contact me but its been well over a year since I've heard from him.

I talked to PayPal yesterday and they told me if the buyer hasn't contacted you for his cards in over 180 days then LEGALLY your the owner. I still called the member right after I talked to PayPal to try to get in touch with him again but yet again I got no reply.

What do you guys think I should do?

A few things here:

I wouldn't take legal advice from a phone jockey at PayPal

Commutation, huh? The guy hasn't been commutating with you? He may not have a phone in prison.

So you are basically holding the bag for this guy? It sounds like part of your commission was a storage fee as well.
