kaepernick is a brutal passer by nfl standards..... he has terrible accuracy, zero touch.... and throws a 2 yard pass with the same velocity of a 65 yard pass.
when you consider his age, there is no reason to sign him regardless of any distractions. he will not develop any further as a pocket passer, so there is no upside there. he has not shown the ability to be a well liked teammate who can step in for a few games and do what is necessary to bridge a starting qb injury
kaepernick is a "me" guy with not enough talent for the personality he displays. for all those reasons why would anyone waste time or money on him? a less "talented" younger qb may have more upside, and a less talented "team" guy has a better chance to rally teammates in a time of need
michael vick is a perfect example... in pittsburgh he wasn't even average by nfl standards, but he played the team role and the guys played well around him.... kaepernick will never be that kind of guy in a locker room.
i just can't understand what is so hard to grasp about this. the guy is a poison and a cancer, and he was before any of this political crap hit the fan. the nfl is the league of a million chances, anyone with talent gets a second, third, fourth, fifth chance.... if any owner thought the guy would actually be an asset on the field he would be signed, period
