Default Wrong in asking for a refund?

Hey All,

I've never requested a refund/return of a card since I've been buying off eBay, today I received a Lonzo Ball Silver Prizm in the mail that in my mind, has some pretty serious surface issue. The card was described as being in 'Mint Condition' and the scan in the listing wouldn't lead me to believe otherwise.

Am I wrong in asking for a refund? I feel like a jerk, but can't pay full price for a card like this. The seller offers returns (shocking) but is denying my request for a return or partial refund on account of the damage.

I don't want to post the link to the eBay item as I'd like to give the seller the benefit of the doubt and maybe the damaged occurred in transit. However he's claiming that's impossible and the Lonzo in the picture isn't his.

Inspecting the eBay closer image, I might be detecting the surface issue I've pointed out, or maybe not...
