5 days goes by in the blink of an eye. Considering that Topps can't respond within 5 days sometimes I would refuse to be told the 5 day thing. Stuff happens. I'm pretty sure it's more of a policy to protect themselves but is examined in a case by case basis with it being rare that they would actually tell someone no. I can't imagine any scenario in which they tell a good customer to go kick rocks over something so easily fixed. You have nothing to worry about.
