I did this for a little while, but the amount of space the collection takes up grows quicker than you might expect. I started buying wax boxes, then got cello and rack boxes, next thing I know I was buying cases as some were super cheap. All of a sudden I had a room full of these case boxes and realized that it wasn't really fun to look at sealed cases. At least the wax boxes are cool to look at and reminisce about. Since then I have tried to only get unopened packs, as it's cheaper and takes up less room. Plus you can get the unopened packs graded which also helps with the occasional temptation to want to open them.
