PSA Cert #:27015440

1909-11 Tolstoi Ty Cobb Red Portrait SGC 1 to PSA 2

Sold on 4/9/2015 as a SGC 1 by Huggins & Scott Auctions to an unknown buyer for $896.25
Consigned to PWCC and sold on 6/6/2017 as a PSA 2 for $2,551.00
Value gain of $1,654.75

This rare Cobb card with a Tolstoi back had more done to it than having glue removed from its back. The upper left corner (blue rectangle) was pressed down and the corner crease minimized. The chemical washing process removed some of the original ink in the name "Cobb" as seen in the green reference rectangle. On the back, there is some paper loss noted in blue. This original paper was likely ripped off accidentally by the card doctor when the scrapbook paper and glue was being removed.

The buyer of this card is unknown. I am unsure if this is a Moser special. Only Huggins & Scott know the identity of the winner and only PWCC knows the identity of the consignor. The lead to this card was kindly provided by e-mail tip.
