But it seems like PWCC is still selling on eBay (5,293 listings at time of this posting) and business is as usual. People are still grading cards and buying/selling graded cards. The market on graded cards does not seem to be softening much, if at all.
The inherent issue that causes all this is the fact that the card market is one that is driven by perceived value. And people's perceptions of value are easy to manipulate. From pumping certain players/sets to shilling to trimming to grading in general, everything is driven by the desire to manipulate perceived value. I'm not sure how you fight that.

BO just needs to free some minds:
“Card grading is a system, son. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, trimmers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on grading, that they will fight to protect it.”
Too many people are financially dependent on grading that freeing their minds will be tough.
But grading isn’t completely bad...or an enemy...it’s just that people mindlessly want to say a graded card is worth much more money than it really should be because they’re helplessly inured mostly on the financial part...which makes them vulnerable to crooks.
