No that's not vintage either. The correct definition of vintage is like pre 1980.
People like to buy newer stuff. Every year people chase the rookies and second or 3rd year players. That's the way it's always been and i don't suspect it will ever change.
Back to prospecting
You could take a gamble on player A. Who is a highly touted prospect, was good in college but you aren't really sure how they'll perform in the NBA.
Or, you could bet on player B. Also a highly touted prospect but this player won the Euro MVP at 18 (never been done before), ROY in the NBA at 19, and now setting the league on fire at 20 in his second season.
They're both gambles but one has better odds of paying out in the future.
