I didn't receive them yet, but my main goal is to grade them. So if I think so that the cards are not in gradable condition or wouldn't grade well, is it okay to send them back and ask for a refund? Not sure how it works.
I've never done anything like this earlier and I wouldn't do this with a private seller as I don't think it's ethical, but because of the lack of the detailed scans and because he is accepting returns, probably it's ok to do with probstein? Not sure what do you think about this?

You are buying raw cards, not graded cards. I personally think that is unethical. The card is not owned by Probstein, he is selling them for other individuals. Also, what a crappy mentality to think you can scam a business and it's okay because it's not an individual. If you want a graded card, buy a graded card. If you want a raw card to grade, you are accepting the risk that it might not grade perfectly. Your risk.
