Fair enough. I just can't really remember any time where politics actually interfered with a game. Pre-game, sure. Post-game, sure. The actual game? No. If it seems like politics are mixing with sports, it seems like it would be more fair to request fans stop tuning into the pre-game, post-game, social media than to request a player to not have a voice on a topic.
