The greatest thing about Luka is that he can play in the league damn-near as long as he wants as his game doesn't depend on elite athleticism. He has amazing vision, incredible fundamentals, is beautifully patient, can shoot the lights out, and (most importantly) he has that DOG inside of him.
He uses his body and body control better than any NBA player that I've ever seen inside the lane to hold off defenders and create shots. Though he's not fast by any means, his first step is deceitfully quick and his step-back jumper is completely unguardable while being available at will.
There's not many negatives to his game and the ones that he has are totally fixable. For example, I wish he would pick and choose his battles with the refs---don't complain about EVERY missed call or concern. Also, I'd like to see him have better control of his emotions in general. There are times when he lets that internal fire negatively effect his game. But, I feel like emotional control will come with age and natural maturity.
Luka's game is insanely good and I feel lucky to watch him grow. And, to the thought of Giannis joining the Mavs via free agency---my mind can't even comprehend the dominance that would entail.
