I'd rather own a 2nd yr silver than a rookie base to be honest. The population on that base is 13,000. 13,000. You realize the distance between 200 and 13,000? One will dry up one won't. I know pop isn't everything but silver is the exception to that rule at best. You could trade 4-5 of those 13,000 psa 10 base for a psa 10 card with less than 200 pop and I do not believe that's going to last forever. You are getting a much bigger multiple on your money on lower pop cards. It doesn't have to be a crazy 15k card either, there's still cards in the $4-6k range this is true of.

Its not always about pop. If that were the case, Lukas spectra stuff would be worth 10s of thousands each. I dont think there is a single spectra variant/color that even has 10 cards graded of all grades combined. There just isn't enough going around to create the demand.
