Burke, you use the words optics and feel and echo ... these are not words that would describe real danger. As I've stated to others in this thread, if you want me to believe something is dangerous, you have got to tell me what the danger is.
I know a lot of words and feelings have gone into promoting the idea that what Donald Trump and republicans have done during the last six weeks is a threat to democracy and is dangerous but I have yet to see anyone actually inform me on what that danger is and what their actions will lead to.
You may not realize this but everything is going according to plan. We had the election, the votes were cast, they were counted and in a couple of instances, recounted because the totals were very close. States certified, electors were chosen, safe harbor date passed and electors voted. Donald Trump and his team was allowed a chance to present evidence that would change this process and he could not do so. So it continues.
Everything else doesn't matter. U can sink your mind into the idea that danger is coming and the boogeyman is not far away or you can rid yourself of that notion, understand that people are simply blowing off steam and being morons with no real threat to anything and know that this country has been around 240 years and has seen it all. To believe that Donald Trump can break the United States in the way many suggest would mean this was one hell of a #*!# country to begin win. And that's simply not true.
So have a smoke or a drink. Relax. All is well.
