In 1984 I had a friend that worked as a physical trainer with the Montreal Expos. I used to get tickets to any game I wanted to and could go into the locker room after the games. So after a game I am walking back to take the elevator back up to leave the Big O, and Hank Aaron is waiting for the elevator. I recognized him right away. He was very nice for the minute we shared that elevator. I asked him how he likes our city and he said it was his favorite city to visit with the Braves organization. Although he was not a fan of the stadium the Expos played in but said that we have an exciting team at that time. He seemed very classy and just had this presence. I did not want to bother him for an autograph, so I just wished him a good night and he thanked me called me young man and off he went. RIP Mr. Aaron, a real ambassador to this game.
