That's what makes this hobby great though. It really is dumb luck. Mahomes could have easily NOT been great too.

In the end, it's smart not to have all your eggs in one basket. I haven't purchased a Mahomes rookie in some time...I've been chasing other nice cards to help balance out my Mahomes collection.

I admit when I bought a few Mahomes a year ago I had no idea the market was going to explode. If anyone says they saw this coming they're lying at worst, or at least embellishing their own foresight at best.
For every Mahomes I've bought that exploded, there's been 5 guys that haven't panned out. For us to act like we saw it all coming, well....then why didn't you buy 100 more? I'm humble enough to admit I got a little lucky from time to time. And I'm just an average Joe.
