Pumpers in general were not around like this in 2016 when Brady won his 5th..... and they weren't around in football in 2018 when he won his 6th. Brady stuff has gone up steadily over time for a decade until mid 2020 when it went haywire; and it was going up steadily from 02-07 until his injury and down-ish years in 08 and 09. His prices may very well regress a lot on common items now, but even with that it should fit right back in line still gaining from early 2020 and be on the same or better trajectory.......... people who don't understand that there was/is a period of 16-24 months of straight manipulation casuing FOMO from even the smartest collectors; well those people may stand to lose a good amount of money........ the savvy are still finding rarer items in high grade, the type of items where the demand will always overpower the supply.
And to keep this on the Mahomes topic............ it seems crazy to me for someone to fool around with the prizm psa 10 rc where there are likely 10-20k made with a lot of PSA 10's available.......... when there are 18/19 optic gold base /10 out there to be had... likewise optic contenders 18/19 gold base have also showed up. I know RC's rule the day but in an era like this where there are so many highly limited options from top brands.. I have zero clue why people are fooling around with intermediate or low quality high pop high print stuff. .....
The answer is likely because the general population isn't smart enough to track historical trends, view the overall landscape in the appropriate light, or actually take a chance on themselves.... if there aren't 10,20,50 comps in a three month window across multiple platforms they aren't smart enough to make the call themselves without immediate pricing data
