Yeah, this is what I figured earlier. If this patch was messed around with, then it must've taken place years ago when it wasn't worth much. However, based on the above information posted by auburn35, there is a pretty high chance it was altered. Very disturbing.
I do agree with auburn35 that Panini should have been the one to look over this card. Getting a grading company to confirm a grade is just a complete waste of time. Panini has nothing to lose by saying "
hey, this card has been messed around with!" With a grading company, we all know it's a different story.
