It's one thing if it's the proverbial grandma selling an Action Comics #1 at a yard sale for $5, which doesnt happen.

When it comes to ebay 'steals', be it by seller not knowing, listing mistakes, etc...eh I dont really have a problem with it. The buyer is playing by the rules, not breaking them. The seller's job is to know what they have/list correctly. There is a value to knowledge, and the buyer, having the knowledge, is rewarded for it. Also rewarded for putting in time to search listings and finding them quick, etc. On the seller's end, they put up a something for a price they wanted, and got a sale at the price they wanted, so in theory they should be satisfied.

I also think you win some, you lose some. I've gotten good deals plenty of times, I've also let things go for pretty big steals looking back.

What is more unethical imo, and actually not playing by the rules, is someone noticing on sold listings a steal for X and messaging the seller 'cancel and sell to me for 2X'. As a seller, if I got this message from anyone after a sale, I'd never entertain it.
