That post was way out of left field and pointless. He can, and would, win MVP with his hitting skills alone. He is legitimately that great.

His bOWAR is 1st in AL (2nd in MLB behind Acuna) at 4.5. Next closest AL player is Bichette at 3.8.
Thats a bit skewed though since it doesn't take in to account defense, which benefits Ohtani as a DH. He's 2nd in AL in bWAR among position players behind Luis Robert, 4.5 v 4.4. Franco and Seager are at 4.3.
Its a fun hypothetical - if he gave up pitching, would he hypothetically be playing in the OF? Or would he stay a DH? His hitting skills are awesome, this year especially, but MVP voters don't historically like DHs.
