Thats a bit skewed though since it doesn't take in to account defense, which benefits Ohtani as a DH. He's 2nd in AL in bWAR among position players behind Luis Robert, 4.5 v 4.4. Franco and Seager are at 4.3.
Its a fun hypothetical - if he gave up pitching, would he hypothetically be playing in the OF? Or would he stay a DH? His hitting skills are awesome, this year especially, but MVP voters don't historically like DHs.

How does Ohtani DHing benefit his BWAR? He gets dinged by like half a a WAR so far this season and average shortstop and center fielders get a nice boost. IMO Shohei would be playing right field if he wasn't pitching and would be a darn good RF, so would get a nice bump in BWAR.
