I'm just saying that his season this year will be the one that future seasons are measured against unless mlb changes the rules again. Guys did run wild in the past more, but they could still be held on, the bases were smaller, etc. Maybe you could argue its akin to lowering the mound and the game hasn't really changed that much over the long term because of it. Maybe long term there isn't that much difference, but I have a hard time believing the guys from the 70s, 80s, and 90s wouldn't have stolen even more bases if they knew the pitcher couldn't throw over.
