This time I put the card in my freezer for two hours - why? Because the new slab plastic melts much faster with the Dremel and this helped with that - there wasn't as much of a plastic melt mess, a little but not nearly as much as yesterday. I then made two cuts to both top corners. I inserted a screwdriver & pried and the top half of the slab popped right up, but the bottom half wasn't budging. So I made two more cuts to the bottom half of the slab - I still pried with my screwdriver from the top but the two cuts gave me wiggle room at the bottom and most (but not all) of the bottom came up. There was enough space and the card came out easily. I didn't completely remove the front of the slab (see the second picture where it's like a clam mouth), but there was plenty of room for the card to come out so I stopped there. So instead of taking 20 seconds to crack the old slabs it takes 60 seconds now with the new slabs.
Can I send all my slabs to you that need cracking? Haha, just kidding...maybe.
