Went back to check and you are correct, at the end of podcast episode 150 this is talked about, Marvel only having some of the original scans and most missing, perhaps to do with the bankruptcy. The scans for the 92MM comic book series they did have, but are possibly cropped so lesser quality than the originals. So they had to track down as many missing ones as they could for the book. The comments on Kickstarter were confusing me for the same reason, as they made it seem like this was causing the delay, whereas the only thing we’ve heard to this point has been covid.
