Yea I think for a lot of these, it just becomes too localized so won’t replace the breadth of Marvel. I can’t see them pumping out multiple sets, year in and year out for other franchises like Jurassic Park/World. One of the benefits of Marvel is plenty of it was art based sets and not confined to a movie. You can have unlimited sets of that, not based in any real time chronology…just get a different artist or same artist with different take, and the possibilities of art are infinite. This can’t be said for most of these film and show franchises mentioned. I doubt people would be going for James Bond art sets even if they did exist.

That is why I think DC will be in the drivers seat. And will be the ‘new marvel’ complete with epack and unbound and all. It’ll be an interesting dynamic to see how many collectors switch over or stay- did people really like the Marvel for the actual Marvel characters? Or did they like it for those other factors like set brand, PMGs, and ePack. Guess we’ll see soon.
