No matter which way you look at it, there's a valid reason to have some concerns about his ability to stay healthy.

You should have just as much concern about SGA. But I'm sure you don't because we all know he missed games to keep him healthy while the team tanked. This is Luka's longest consecutive games missed with injuries but I again question how much of that has to do with the team working on a trade for him for the past month. 12 games he missed were rest, 5 were covid health and safety protocols so subtract 17 from that total. Most of his injuries have been 1-2 game absences and a couple 5-7 games. He's missed 19 games with current injury but let's say it would have been 5 games if he they weren't working out a deal and then so subtract 14 so now you we subtract 31 from that total and he's really missed 82 because of various injuries. But all we can do is wait and see. If he is a guy that consistently plays around 70 regular season games and all of the post season games it's no big deal. If he truly turns in Embiid and his next contract is one of the worst in history then the Mavs were geniuses. I'm a C's fan so I should be rooting for the Embiid outcome but he's one of my favorite players to watch to I'll hope I we get another 10+ years of him being great.
