For sure. A lot of ppl like the rare chance to hit chase stuff. Even if 0.0xxx% of hangers have a gold /10 prizm, people like that chance. They want the lottery ticket!
Silver prizms will always be the icon cards from any of the Prizm sets, though.
They sell high volume and are easy to comp. They look awesome. Ergo, I think getting the most silver prizms for the money is a decent move (and you can get rare hit of base silver prizm
autos in fat packs... prob not RC autos tho). I figure some of the 2024 rookie QBs silver prizm might be $100-$1000+ raw if they do well in the coming years (I'm not a Daniels believer as his team is not even best in their own division, but his values are already there). Green prizms in fat pack might be half or a third of that guy's silver prizm? That's fine by me. That's a chase right there.
I am usually busy... too much time on hobby. If I have to try to look up values on an odd duck (numbered, color, etc), that's not ideal. I can't tell ya how many eBay, COMC, etc cards (usually graded) that I consider buying yet give up on looking for comps for and don't buy it because the comps are all varied or barely any of them at all. This is even for HOF and Mahomes type guys. Some sellers won't agree if there aren't a lot of exact card recent comps.
If it's hard to buy, it'll be twice as hard to sell. Jmo.
Also don't really want redemptions or super rare hits in set-it-and-forget-it wax as the pack CT scanning will probably get a lot more common and lower cost in years to come. If anyone wants to scan fat packs, more power to em. But hobby or FOTL, yeah... that'll be a thing.
