JJ is the future. The Vikings roster is built to win now. 14 games won last year, with Darnold. Rodgers, even in his 40s. Should be an upgrade. Vikings sent 7 players to the pro bowl last year. Its a good roster, with a good coach. That is one good QB away from making real noise.
JJ coming off a season ending injury. With zero NFL experience. Is a huge risk. Rodgers as a 1 maybe 2 year rental does make sense IMO.

It makes sense to me if they don't think the off field stuff is a distraction. It is too risky having a playoff caliber team led by a 2nd year guy fresh off a serious injury.
If Rodgers is willing to play for 10 mil and understands if things go south he will get benched.... I don't see why it couldn't happen.
If he wants money or a better chance to play the whole season he will go to Pitt or NYG or still retire.
Sitting JJ another season behind a multi time NFL MVP isn't the worst thing.
