That's the issue. It's easy to forget the Nationals had 10 cards in the first 200. And you have to consider that recent selections Grace, Grove, Griffey Sr., Valenzuela, and Oliver all predate the Nationals - compared to those teams, you have to include three additional cards from the franchise since Abrams (Raines, Alou, and Alou). The good news is Wood and Crews are 100% guaranteed cards this year.
The strongest candidates are popular RC-eligible players and big free agent signings. Unfortunately the Nationals haven't had either for the last few years. As the set progresses, other teams will end up in this position too.
