That's true in sports and non-sports.

On the other hand, I don't think people really put much (any?) value in the Leaf proofs.

Bottom line, if you are getting a Leaf proof signed, go for it. But if you're expecting to retire from it, reign in your expectations. Maybe someone somewhere out there will want it, but I wouldn't plan on getting more than the signer charges to sign things, if that.
