Taylor Swift was the right choice. Her popularity spans multiple generations at this point. She isn't getting any younger, being in her mid-30s now. She just released a new album and will be touring again. She is already associated with the NFL, being engaged to a Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion.

It doesn't make sense that female artists like Madonna and Lady Gaga have performed at the Super Bowl, but Tay-Tay hasn't. Heck, even Shania Twain headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show back in the day.

This was a major flub by Jay-Z and the league -- they should have caved into her demands, whatever they were; Bad Bunny will still be around next year to perform if his popularity continues to improve and he decides to tour in the US again.
