I have heard that UPS cuts big deals to businesses that use them. I had always wondered the same thing as you. Unless you are shipping internationally where you want to guaranty delivery, why bother using UPS on a standard package? I think once I checked out UPS and it cost like 9 or 10 bucks for something when I could ship the same thing for 5 bucks via USPS. Even if I bought the delivery confirmation and insurance with USPS (UPS automatically includes 100 insurance) it would still be cheaper than going through UPS and it gets there a heck of alot quicker. But yea, that is just for normal people that show up to ship a package, pretty sure businesses get big breaks for using them
