No, its more or less picking the top 8 guys who you think will perform the best, whether it be 8 pitchers or position players.

There are scoring bonuses for promotions and higher multipliers for tougher leagues I think balancing your team with young studs in lower levels who will perform well (Javier Baez) with big league prospects knocking on the door (Mike Olt) is the way to go.
