A few years ago, I watched as a middle-aged postal carrier went overboard with his "customer service"...he stood and shot the crap with a person at their house for a good three to four minutes. It was nothing to do with business and the customer was just the guy he was delivering to. He even laughed about being told by his supervisor that he was taking too long to get done. I highly doubt that those were the only three to four minutes he wasted that day. There was no customer service involved; he was just a lazy, overpaid leech. There is no way that he would admit or probably care that he was part of the problem.
Sorry, Bill, but when your company is losing money hand over fist, has a monopoly and unfair advantages, and doesn't even have to bow down to shareholders, the bottom line needs to be front and center. The whole USPS needs an overhaul.
