They weren’t the leaders of those teams. They were complimentary pieces. LeBron is the focal point of his team. If he doesn’t make it to the finals then it is a valid argument to say that seasons where he did get to the finals are better seasons in his career. If he goes on to win a ring as a complimentary player with team X at the age of 38 then the argument for that season will match your counterpoint.
