No, it's not. "Vintage" means different things in different contexts. It's not simply a matter of how old something is. The card hobby was light years different than it is now, in say - 1974. Cards were still issued in packs with gum for 10 cents, and were in their first year of not being distributed by series. When I was a kid, the argument was sometimes that vintage ended with 1973 because of that.

Is the typical progression of the terms that most use these day. It's almost more of an argument where junk wax begins.

1990 is a lot more like 1980 than it's like now. Heck even 2000 is substantially different from now -- but it's not as extreme as comparing 1990 to now.

I do think windows should evolve ... but they won't. That ship has sailed like many others.
