World Series Predictions as of July..

So just about every team is at the halfway point in the season and I am curious what everyones world series predictions will be.

I personally feel it will be....

Boston and Philadelphia as much as it hurts....with Philly winning in 7 games

I just dont know if Tampa can keep up their pace for the second half of the season.

As funny as this sounds, the Cubs and Rays in the series. Cubs in 5 games. Unless David Ortiz comes back at FULL strength and we get an extra arm or 2 in the bullpen, Boston won't be able to do it. Red Sox are 2-9 in one run games since Ortiz went down. OUCH!

I agree Boston is not making the playoffs this year, the Yankees are really beat up and will make a solid run for the wild card, however they are so beat up that they won't be able to get to the world series. The Rays have great pitching and speed like the Angles in 02????? Tampa wins the world series vs the Phillies or Cubs or Brewers or something....no front runner. God can't believe I am predicting the Rays.

This reminds me of Back to the Future 2 where he sees that the Cubs beat "Miami" in the world series. So Tampa and the Cubs are not that far fetched but im still going with Boston and Philly. Ortiz should be back in 2 weeks and he should make a huge difference.

Lets go RAYS!!!(cowbell ringing)......The Cubs will not take out the Rays if that was the World Series match-up. The Rays Just got done sweeping them a couple of weeks ago.........I am just hoping the Rays make it to the playoffs right now!!!

O god that is great I remember that, one of my friends is a Cubs fan, that might put him on suicide watch if they lose to the DEVIL Rays......thats all the Rays did this year, take away the devil and suddenly they are a good team????? Maybe other teams should start doing that.

Just a feeling that the old school teams (Yanks, Bosox, Chisox) are not going to make noise this post-season, the NL pretty much sucks (phils can't beat the AL; Mets are a mess; Cubs will do their annual choke; west is weak and LA has great starting pitching that can dominate in short series).

There is no way...AL East is too tough for them to hang in there. Pitching wins games and their staff is unproven...they are definitely headed in the right direction with their young team and prospects but it wont be this year. Give them a year or two and I would say it is possible...

Championships are not won in the first half of the season. Boston and New York will both fill some of their needs before the trading deadline and will battle it out for the top spot. Only one team will make it from the AL East and they will represent the AL in the Series.
