Default Panini Replacement Arrives in Record Time

So I posted a few weeks ago about the following damaged card I received in a group break:

Taking the advice of another member, I emailed Joe White at Panini last Thursday. He got back to me by the end of the day and asked for an address he could ship the replacement to. He also said it was not necessary to send the card back or provide supporting documentation (other than the photo I provided). These came today:

What do you guys think? Fair compensation, especially considering I didn’t have to send back the Certified Gold auto?

Mr. White did ask that I not sell the Certified auto. In fact he said it would be best for me to destroy it.

I’m a big USC fan, so not really looking to sell Darnold at the moment.

Fantastic replacements.

I would keep the Certified as a PC Card.

Why were you encouraged not to sell the damaged one? Are they afraid of it letting it be known cards come out of packs like that.

Nah, traditionally you're asked to destroy damaged or error cards.

The biggest reason might be they don't want people purposely damaging cards, claiming they came out of the pack that way and gaming them out of replacements.

Nice card OP, Darnold has looked alright tonight.

Glad you were taken care of. Despite some people's opinions, I think Panini has done a great job replacing damaged cards and offering replacements for redemptions - you generally only hear the bad stories.
