He has a .336/.464/1.101 slash line for the year. I wish more players were capable of "struggling" like that.

To be fair, he is 3 for 27 (.111) since Albert was last in the lineup. I think he’s just a little sad right now. Now that Albert has a team, I’m sure Mike will cheer up.

I understand that, but we have an entire thread about Trout and have discussed the slump there.

Everyone, even Trout, has runs of success and challenge.

Earlier this season, per Statcast, he’d been playing way way way above his expected level. By far the most in MLB in fact. So perhaps we are just seeing a reversion to the mean.

With that said he’s still well above expected performance on the season, so this slump needs to extend another couple weeks if it will fully normalize his full season stats.

yet you took time out of your day to come here and complain about the clutter, thus bumping the thread you cannot stand to the very top where you despise it?

Way to not blow things out of proportion

The thread would have received replies if it weren’t for mine, but that was a very strong argument you put together there

I honestly think that the 60 game season last year has made people forget that MLB seasons are a marathon, not a sprint. A bad 10 game stretch during a 60 game season is one thing, but a bad 10 games over the course of the full year is just part of the epp and flow of the game.

And if you thought Trout was going to hit .425 for the year like he did in April, then I just don't know what to tell ya

Trout does his thing in bunches. He can have a cold month, then be the hottest player the next month. Some people forget that baseball is a long season

Y’all wasting your time responding to a guy actively buying Trout.

Good to see the panic of a perceived slump isn't limited to every other player on these boards.

Trout is a hack on a losing team.

All players have slumps. Trout had one last season too.

It should be noted that Trout also had a teammate as well as a very close brother-in-law who both passed away within a year of each other and yet he still managed to put together big numbers by the end of both seasons. Somehow I feel that Albert's departure from the team/organization cannot compare to those other instances that must've hit Trout even harder. The current slump that he's in right now will only be temporary.
