Default Yankees fans chant "Uber" at Twins pitcher Randy Dobnak

Dobnak was an Uber driver in the minor leagues as a way to make some extra money.pic.twitter.com/WuyARMpZMB

Poor kid, I bet in Little League he curled into a ball when they called him a "Belly Itcher"...

It would be ironic of those people took a Uber to the game

It's amazing to me that our media is astonished that Yankee's fans would bust some bawls like that! The outrage is laughable.

Yankee fans booed Stanton his first day. They booed Mantle for not being Babe Ruth. They booed Maris for not being Mantle. They love to boo.

Who booes more, Philly or New York?

What media is “astonished”. People are just reporting it

Well, they singled this out, I'm sure that wasn't the only thing Yankees fans were chanting. Perhaps not astonished, but felt like it needed to be highlighted.

The media was obsessed with the fact he was a Uber driver even before the game

Geesh, as if this is a crime, to me it shows determination and grit. So the man wanted to be able to eat and chase his dream at the same time, big deal. If anything it shows how motivated he is not to lose in the game of life.

I agree with you. Nothing wrong with having a second job. I applaud him for that. Minor leaguers are paid like crap and people are shocked they have jobs in the offseason?

More so how bad the pay is in the minor leagues where players have to do things like Uber just to try and make ends meet

I'm doing Uber as a side gig now to afford inflated case prices.

It’s shocking how much you are missing the point.

That’s exactly what the media is saying. They aren’t knocking Jon cause he was an uber driver they are saying how great a story he is

I find it odd you don’t see that

He came from independent ball which makes it even more impressive

Media is dumb and just wants a story.

And if he had won it would be “Uber driver beats yanks”. First a question would have been”after that performance but none of the yanks players would want a ride from you”

Just getting a headline

And it’s an uber driver, lots of professional people out of college uber drive. It’s not some out of the way crazy job

My wokeness lets me be offended for him and Uber drivers nationwide. Hopefully the Yankees fans can join our virtue signaling culture and stop the Uber chants. #offended
