Default Are Kenner Starting Lineups seriously heating up again?

I thought it would take a “toys that made us episode” to get these underrated gems out from under a rock. So much potential and nostalgia

I hope so. The card craze definitely has people clamoring for a few of them again. Not just Jordans, rookie Kobe and Topps rookies from the 97 set either. Peyton Manning, Barry Sanders, 88 Bird/Magic are a few that have risen lately. Maybe it turns into a bit of a revival if people get into them again. Comparatively this stuff isn’t as mass produced as most of the card products of that era. Especially some of the later lines

If it takes off, wait until people figure out the production numbers on the red shorts Ali and Pele Legends figs

I agree. Definitely some gems out there and they present extremely well. McFarlanes were beautiful but more like statues which broke. I like the smaller durability of the SLU’s and the added card was a great move out of Kenner.

I hope so too... got so many of these and the X-men/X-Force figures.
Someone in anther thread was trying to say the figures that had the non-traditional SLU cards were going for more because wanted to get those cards graded as they were only available with the figures.

I had an incredibly tough time moving Jordan Kenners after the Last Dance, which shocked me. Even my complete Dream team mint box. Good luck if you still have some.

Hasbro announced today that Starting Lineups are returning 9/22/22. Looking forward to seeing todays stars in (hopefully) classic SLU poses and size. Hope that a trading card is still included. Can’t imagine what the hunt for the rookies will be like.

I just saw the press release and Fanatics is sadly involved. I was excited until that. Now I expect it to be a huge ripoff and some sort of dynamic pricing.

Yeah that stinks. I was waiting until I got home to read the full release. I’m not as excited now as I was before.

I found a few after buried amongst a lot of other rubble I've tried to get rid of. But I never left them sealed. And now the arms are a different color than the face. Was discoloration common with these?
