Default Ebay buyer to block- ps2daizzo

ps2daizzo sold me a Jackson Holliday bowman chrome auto. The picture of the card looked perfect. The card I got was off-center and the signature was obviously different. It went through the authenticity guarantee and ebay authenticated it. ebay has closed the case and I'm screwed out of $375

Have a pic of the listing and the pic of what you got? If you paid using a credit card, you can file a charge back. Ebay might ban you though. Have you tried calling customer service? Good luck.

If it's not the same card as you bid on, then let them know that it is not the same card as pictured

Yea that's a rather 2-bit mistake from ebay AG if true. Would be curious to see the pic of the card you received. I would be on the phone with ebay, and ask for Authenticity Guarantee department and explain you got a different card than pictured.

I always wondered how much effort they are making to match the card exactly to the one pictured in the case of non-numbered cards.

It is *possible* in this case they might have been just making sure it's a NM- or better card (which is generally what they do for cards without a listed condition)- that's equivalent to like a PSA 7- and the one you got even with the less than perfect centering does pass that. So in other words, the photo on the listing treated as essentially a stock photo.

I can say from first hand experience the idea of a “stock” photo doesn’t fly with their auth guarantee. I had three PSA 10’s of the exact same card and used one photo for all three auctions. One made it through and the other two were sent back for having different cert numbers. These were non autos. All identical cards in PSA 10 slabs. Didn’t matter.

That's graded though, and it's probable they just make sure the cert # matches the one shown in pic for those. Very quick to verify.

Raw *might* be a different scenario, after all what if someone sells a mint looking brand new 2023 card without an auto, or numbering, for $500. How do they even know if the one received matches that card? Probably cant in many instances.

I mean you'd think with something identifiable like an auto they could figure it out, but still not certain how they proceed with raw cards like this.

Nothing like a good switcharoo to ruin your day, sorry to hear about this one OP.

On other news, I had someone bid on a ton of my auctions at the last second and then proceed to immediately request to cancel the transaction. I didn’t notice it until they were about 5-6 auctions in, in which case I blocked them but still had to relist all of the ones the tampered with. Good times on EBay.

The first picture is the card I bought on ebay and the second is the card I received. Furthermore, ebay has sided with the seller saying the card is authentic. Obviously, they know nothing about trading cards.

Yeah that’s not even close, as soon as the image came up you can see it’s OC. Sorry that happened, just another instance of eBay being garbage.

I could be wrong, but I do believe you can appeal eBay's decision. At the very least, call customer service and ask to escalate the case to a manager.

Sorry to hear about this, totally unacceptable by eBay and the seller is a piece of trash.

I'm not gonna lie, I can't tell by the centering but the autograph does look different

Make sure to use all lower case letters. When you type it in it usually capitalizes the first letter

Sorry to hear about this, OP. I hope you’re able to file an appeal. I had this happen to me once. The got I got not only had a clearly different auto, but the card had three circular dents in it. Luckily the buyer accepted the return.

The card that was sent has a top-heavy border compared to the listing picture. That, and the obviously different autograph placements.
